358 DAYS TO GO

SEPTEMBER 30 : 143 finishers in to-day's Poppy Run - thanks to everyone who turned out in somewhat testing and uncomfortable conditions as the rain came down pretty much from start time until after the last runner had finished.
SEPTEMBER 30 : It's a Birchfield Harriers 1-2-3 as OMER AHMED 37.57, TESFAY TEWELED 40.12 and TAKLAY GEBREKIDUN 40.24 finish in the driving rain across Aldridge Airport.  In the ladies race, the first three are separated by just 24 seconds - KAROLINA KUCHAREK from Rolls Royce Harriers was first home in 46.49, swiftly followed by FRANCES VICKERS (Birchfield) in 47.09 and MICHELLE RUSHTON-FOX from stafford Harriers in 47.13.
SEPTEMBER 27 : More on-line entries have come in to-day, taking us past the 130 mark. PLEASE NOTE THAT ON-LINE ENTRIES WILL CLOSE TOMORROW (28th) !  On the day entries will be available up to the race limit from 12.30 until 1.50 on Saturday at Race HQ.

SEPTEMBER 26 : Pre-race entries are well past last year's inaugrual race figure of 115 with 126 entries so far received.

SEPTEMBER 26 : The unwanted travellers have now been moved on by walsall Council, so all should be good for the race on Saturday morning. As usual, they have left behind all their rubbish and waste but the Council are due to clear this up tomorrow and volunteers from Birchfield Harriers have been seen out and about with their rubber gloves and refuse bags.
