APRIL 25 :: Click HERE for the full 5km results from yesterday

APRIL 25 :: All results have now been checked and verified and the full results are ready.  Click HERE for the full 10km results

APRIL 24 :: We would like to thank ALL the volunteers who came out this morning to help the Rotary Club put on this event, whether they were marshalling setting up the course recording handing out medals or running. Volunteers from the Air Cadets Co-op and the Rotary Club were all out in force on the Common

APRIL 24 :: A tremendous run by LEONIE BALDEN of B.R.A.T saw her claim the ladies 10k title in a time of 37 minutes dead and also finish overall second in the run. This was 13 seconds inside the ladies winning time in 2014. Runner-up was KATHRYN MORGAN of Wolverhampton & Bilston AC in 42.12 with TRACEY COX of Peel Road Runners third in 48.14

APRIL 24 :: Just over a minute separated the first three in the 2016 10km run with LUKE BOTTOMER from Lichfield Fitness Centre taking the tape in a time of 36.16. LAURENCE HEATHCOCK from Tipton Harriers was second in 37.26 with TOBY DURY from Aldridge RC third in 37.46

APRIL 24 :: In the ladies 5km run MELONIE DEAKIN of Stafford Harriers won the 2016 title in 24.44 smashing the 2014 winners time of 27.32 with REBECCA ATTWELL second in 27.57 and MELANIE HILL of Nuneaton Harriers third in 29.16

APRIL 24 :: First home in the 5km run was IAN SMITH in a time of 18.05, finishing over two and a half minutes ahead of runner-up RIPAUL BENOIT in 20.50 and 14 year old BEN DEAKIN of Stafford Harriers third in 21.04. Champion Ian Smith finished 4th in the 2014 Pelsall 5km

APRIL 24 :: Thank you to everyone who turned up this morning for the second Pelsall Fun Run on behalf of Bloxwich Phoenix Rotary Club. In fact, only ONE of those pre-entered didn’t take their place in the event, and with on the day entries numbers were swelled by 11.00 to enable us to present a healthy check to the Rotary Club for distribution to several worthy causes

APRIL 23 :: WEATHER UPDATE :: BBC weather forecast for tomorrow now reads as just 4 degrees at race start time with light rain moving in.  Bring your thermals and umbrellas

APRIL 22 ::  PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE SAFETY PINS WITH YOU AS WE REGRET TO ADVISE THAT WE HAVE NONE IN STOCK AT THE MOMENT

APRIL 23 :: Toilets and basic changing facilities (one room !) are available at Pelsall Community Centre just across the main road from the Common on Station Road

APRIL 22 :: Registration will be on Pelsall Common, adjacent to the old Labour Club which has now gone and is a building site at the moment. Registration will open at 09.30 and close at 10.50 prompt ahead of a race briefing. PLEASE TRY TO BRING THE CORRECT ON THE DAY ENTRY FEE WITH YOU – Cheques made payable to CAMBA EVENTS please.

APRIL 22 :: According to the BBC weather website Sunday wil be the start of a colder spell, but at race start time it should be 6 degrees under thick cloud and a light wind. There is the possibility of light rain showers after one oclock so if you get a move on you should be able to stay dry.

APRIL 22 :: Sadly Runners World have let us down and it appears no more on-line entries will be taken for Pelsall this year.  Never mind – the commission added on by RW means that you can enter on Sunday in person for the same price as the online entry would have cost you today.  We have plenty of spaces, so come down to the Common and join us

APRIL 21 :: PLEASE DON’T FORGET THAT WALSALL BOROUGH COUNCIL HAVE INSISTED THAT THIS EVENT IS A FUN RUN AND NOT A RACE.  ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST RUN ON THE PAVEMENTS OR GRASS AT ALL TIMES AND NOT ON THE ROADS

APRIL 21 :: On-line entries have been extended at www.runnersworld.co.uk until tomorrow the 22nnd. However at the time of updating our website, RW seemed unable to process any further on-line entries despite our best efforts

APRIL 20 :: A further trip out to Pelsall Common to make adjustments to the start/finish areas discussed last Sunday. Runners should note that there will be TWO SEPARATE STARTS to the race for 5kms and 10kms runners. 10km runners will start around 100 yards behind 5kms runners but at the same time.  There will be one finish line for both races

APRIL 20 :: Postal entries have now closed. With new Royal Mail collection times it is now impossible to return numbers to you in time for Sunday’s event.  However, any postal entries received after today will be processed and numbers allocated for collection on Sunday

APRIL 19 :: Your medals were received today along with the trophies which will be awarded to the first three men and women in both the 10kms and 5kms races.  If you finish in the first three (we will try to tell you as you cross the line) please do stay with us until the presentation of prizes as soon as the last runner is home.

APRIL 18 :: All numbers for postal entries have now been allocated and returned in stamped addressed envelopes. Anybody who has entered by post and NOT received their number should contact us at camba.events@btinternet.com or on 0121 358 4483 afternoons

APRIL 17 :: Meeting with Bloxwich Phoenix Rotary to check arrangements for new start and finish areas for Sundays revised courses.

APRIL 13 :: Please remember to put a stamp on your stamped addressed envelope. Theres a clue in the name

APRIL 13 :: Please remember to date your cheques

APRIL 13 :: First batch of race numbers were posted this morning.  The rest will go out tomorrow

APRIL 12 :: All entries received so far are being processed and race numbers will be back in the post within the next 48 hours

APRIL 11 :: PLEASE DO NOT SEND ENTRIES TO US BY RECORDED OR SIGNED FOR MAIL. We have received a card from Royal Mail to collect an item they were unable to deliver during our holiday, but we work at the times the delivery office is open, and cannot collect items

APRIL 11 :: Race numbers received to-day

APRIL 1 ::  We are off to the Lakes for a week of fell walking and beer drinking, so no further updates until we return

MARCH 30 :: Race numbers have been ordered but will not be with us until 12th April.  Please be patient until these have arrived

2014 RACE

APRIL 15 :: Results from Sunday's Pelsall 10km race are now completed and are available from the link on the left, or CLICK HERE

APRIL 14 :: FULL results for yesterday's Pelsall 5km race are now available.  CLICK HERE

APRIL 14 :: Photographs of probably everybody who took part yesterday are available to view and download (FOR FREE) at the Bloxwich Phoenix Rotary Club's Facebook page. (Follow the link below to the Rotary Club page and then follow their link to the photos).

APRIL 13 :: Congratulations to our first Pelsall 10km Champions (both unattached) -  MATTHEW MISSEN took the overall title in 32.21, while DEBBIE WALTERS was first lady home in 37.13.  In the 5km event, Burton AC's CORY PARKER (15.56) and SAMANTHA SKINNER from Aldridge Fit Club (27.32) were our first Champions.

APRIL 13 :: Thanks to all of you who turned out on a beautiful sunny morning to make the first Bloxwich Phoenix Rotary Club Pelsall 10km & 5km a great success. A total entry of 156 was better than we had hoped for two weeks earlier and will enable the Rotary Club to help local charities around the area.

APRIL 10 :: Seems that everything that can go wrong, does go wrong just 3 days before race day !!  BT have somehow managed to effectively close down our Camba Events e-mail address temporarily.  If you need to contact us please do so at RICHARDABAKER@BTINTERNET.COM until further notice. Mark the subject box CAMBA EVENTS.

APRIL 9 :: Postal entries have now closed - there will be plenty of places available on Sunday morning from 09.45 - £14 for the 10km and £10 for the 5km. PLEASE BRING THE CORRECT MONEY WITH YOU.

APRIL 9 :: Sorry folks, but we have heard to-day from the catering facilities that they have been refused permission to attend on the Common on Sunday !  Seems we didn't put on the application form to the Council that we wanted them but until the form went in and we publicised the event, the caterer didn't know about it nor about us - once again, red tape gone mad !

APRIL 8 :: To-day is the official closing date for postal entries, but if you want to send in your entry to-day by first class post and enclose a first class stamped addressed envelope there is still time for us to process your entry tomorrow & Thursday and get it back to you.

APRIL 8 :: We have received a card from Royal Mail advising they were unable to deliver a "signed for" letter to us to-day which we can only assume is a race entry for Sunday. PLEASE NOTE WE CANNOT GET TO THE DELIVERY OFFICE TO COLLECT THIS so please do NOT send in your entries by Recorded Mail - first class mail gets to us and we do not have to sign for them.

APRIL 8 :: Winners' trophies (first three men and first three ladies in both the 5km and 10km races) and medals are received to-day from Running Imp International. All ready now for Sunday.

APRIL 6 :: Bloxwich Phoenix Rotary Club members enjoy a walk around the course as Marshalling positions are allocated and the start/finish area is surveyed. Everything is ready now for next Sunday - PLEASE SEND US YOUR ENTRIES IN ADVANCE to save everyone hassle and likely queues on the day.

MARCH 28 :: The rest of the Pelsall race packs have now been sent out - we shall process all future entries on the day of receipt and these will be posted back the same day in most cases, or within 48 hours at the latest.

MARCH 27 :: First entry packs are sent out with brief on the day instructions and race numbers. Anyone who has already entered and NOT received their race packs should contact us as soon as possible to sort things out.

MARCH 26 :: Trophies and medals are ordered to-day from Running Imp International.

MARCH 20 :: Race numbers received.

MARCH 18 :: Race numbers ordered from Running Imp International.

FEBRUARY 2014 :: Entry forms have been received from the Rotary Club and will be distributed at various races around the area over the next few weeks. Alternatively you can download an entry form HERE.

FEBRUARY 28 :: We have received an entry to-day from KATHY LING of Shropshire Shufflers. Kathy was 70 years old on September 26th 2013 and is aiming to run 70 races in her 70th year. We are not sure what number the Pelsall 10km will be, but we wish her every success in her latest personal challenge. Kathy will of course be wearing race number 70 on April 13th.

JANUARY 31 :: The first entries for the 2014 event are received to-day - KAREN PAYNE & ANDREW EDWARDS are the fastest off the mark.

JANUARY 28 :: Pelsall 10km & 5km added to Runners World and Running Diary websites.

JANUARY 26 2014 :: We have a full meeting with the Bloxwich Phoenix Rotary Club at the Ivy House to discuss and finalise plans for the return of the Pelsall 10km on April 13th 2014.
